the 11th Shanghai International Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Forum (BIO-FORUM 2009)will take place in Shanghai, China from June 1 - 3, 2009.
The forum has been co-organized by the Modern Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Industry Office of Shanghai Municipality. Support has been provided by the Ministry of Science & Technology of the People's Republic of China, the State Food and Drug Administration, the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine and other government authorities.
The Shanghai International Forum on Biotechnology & Pharmaceutical Forum (BIO-FORUM) has been held 10 times since 1996, and has proven to be very successful. It has been extremely influential in promoting biotechnology and pharmaceutical innovation and industrialization. BIO-FORUM 2009 will keep the credo of “Foresight, Innovation, Collaboration and Development” and set “Bio-tech Innovation and Regional Collaboration” as its current theme. The forum will include: The Development of New Generic Drugs, Bio-technology drugs, Clinical Diagnosis Technology, Stem Cell and Biomedical Engineering, and CRO and Technology Service. The forum will also include a training course：Intellectual Property Rights and Drug Laws. Presentations will be made by Fosun Pharma Project, Danish Biotechnology Day, Zhangjiang Promotion and Project Promotion, and more. Also, Nobel Laureates will attend the forum to make presentations. The forum will explore the possibility of bringing in the “2009 China Pharmaceutical Industry Information”, an annual conference held by the Shanghai Academy of Pharmaceutical Industry. This could serve to expand the influence and prominence of the Bio-Forum in providing broader views and better opportunities for our attendants.
