the International Conference of Drug Management and Technology, which will take place in Guangzhou, China from October 10-11, 2009.

This conference is organized by the Chinese Pharmacological Society and the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association. The local host of this conference is Sun Yat-sen University of China.
 
This conference is the largest drug management science and technology meeting in Asia. The two day conference will cover the hottest issues in drug management science and technology, reflecting the trends and challenges facing pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical professionals today.

As you may know, upon the establishment and improvement of the China Drug Supervision and Administration System, the global pharmaceutical and biopharma industry value chain has been shifting towards the biotech industry zones in China, which has a US$33.9 billion pharmaceutical market, with a growth consistently in the double digits. China is reportedly expected to become the fifth largest pharmaceuticals market in the world by 2010.
 
This event will also provide an ideal opportunity for the worldwide pharmaceutical and biopharma community to participate in multilateral, face-to-face interaction. This includes research institutes, manufacturers, and government. We expect to establish a dynamic platform for education, partnering, and the discovery of new and innovative technologies, which offers cross-sector collaboration among the Life Science Industry.

Guangzhou, a city with a long history, is one of the most prosperous metropolis’ in China. The city lies close to the South China Sea, Hong Kong, and Macau. Zhujiang (The Pearl River), the third largest river of China, runs through Guangzhou and is navigable to the South China Sea.
